This post goes out to all the spouses who are way more crafty than me. That means about 99.8% of you.
I have friends that are ultra-talented in the craft arena and want to showcase some of the opportunities available to you that you probably haven't heard of before. Trust me, this is more than just Etsy.
Wunderkin Co – they make heirloom quality bows by hand and their seamstresses are all over the country. The pay is around $15-$18/hour and the requirements include making 100-150 bows per week, which would be about 15-20 hours/week.
Shop Handmade – similar to Etsy, but all postings are free! You must have a PayPal account in order to receive payment.
Amazon Handmade – you have to request an invite, but Amazon gets better views than Etsy when it comes to selling. Your items will be listed among some of the best selling products around.
Craft Junkies Marketplace – this is a Facebook group that is open to sellers from around the world. Oh yeah and its free.
Bonanza – similar to Etsy, but your products are automatically uploaded to shopping sites on Bing and Google.
** Word of advice. Almost any get-paid-to-assemble kits are NOT worth it. 9 times out of 10 you will pay for a kit and be required to ship them the item for review. Inevitably, they find something wrong and you aren't paid. DO NOT waste your money on these. I've checked out over a dozen and they are a waste no matter how many so-called reviews they have. The only one that remotely comes close is Wunderkin and that's because I know people who have been paid and the company has a fantastic reputation.
